Job Title: Senior DB2 System Engineer/ DB2 Admin
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote
Client: DXC Technology
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- 10+ years of Experience overall
- Installation, Customization and maintenance of DB2 and associated vendor products.
- Experience in DB2 and z/OS - understanding at a systems programming level.
- Support DB2 subsystems and resolve DB2 systems software and cross-product interface problems.
- Handle upgrades through version.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for incident and problem management.
- Plan, stage, execute and test changes applicable for the system environment.
- Includes preventive maintenance and standard operating procedure based activities.
- Provide database subsystem availability following agreed upon start and stop times.
- Maintain and communicate on an ongoing basis an authorization list identifying Clients personnel allowed to request the start/shut down of the DB2 subsystems.
