Responsibility:
We are seeking to hire an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support and troubleshoot our client’s remote VPN networks. In addition, you will be responsible for handling advanced support issues. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our client’s VPN network and the resolution of remote network issues.
To ensure success as a Senior Network Engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks and advanced project management skills. The successful candidate must be able to ensure the networking team performs as a cohesive unit, as well as maintaining the stability and performance of the network.
Senior Network Engineer Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with network architects to design, configure and deploy functional company networks.
• Installing and configuring networking hardware.
• Creating and implementing network security measures.
• Conducting regular network performance tests.
• Handling of escalated network support issues.
• Producing network status reports.
• Performing ITS audits
Senior Network Engineer Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Previous work experience as a Networking Engineer.
• Knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, wiring, and routers.
• Knowledge of communication and routing protocols.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• High level problem-solving.
Senior Network Engineer Special Requirements:
• Proficiency with coding languages, including Python and Perl.
• Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, JUNOS, SONICWALL and IOS.
• Knowledge of network analysis tools, including SolarWind.
