Job Title : Java Lead
Location : Grand Rapids, MI
Duration : 12 Months Contract

Job Description:
UST Healthcare Platform Solutions (HPS) group is currently looking for a Lead Software Integration Developer to design, develop, document, test and debug application software in cloud based, service based, highly customizable Health Plan ecosystem based on HealthRules suite of solutions to support a new generation of health plan products.
• The Health Plan operating platform is a service and cloud based one, which is used for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
• In the core of the ecosystem are HealthRules software such as Payor, Care Manager, Connector and Answers. UST Integration Layer sits on the periphery of HealthRules software. Through this Integration Layer, HealthRules software integrate with other software in the ecosystem performing functions of clearing house, EDI Gateway, OCR, CRM, Web Portals, PBM, Authorization Management, ODS, Analytical Reporting etc.
• Web Services based (REST, SOAP) real time and batch integrations are supported.
• Integration Layer provides features such as: Authentication, Security, API Gateway, Payload Transformation, Service Orchestration, Data Store, Logging, Auditing, and Error Recovery.


Responsibilities
• Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and testing software.
• Comprehends Functional Scope Requirements, Solution Design, Estimate effort, Develop Proof of Concept.
• Produces design, architectural materials and present to senior management as well as development staff. Presents ideas to improve the system performance. Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. Ensures software standards are met.
• Provides technical leadership to development staff based on onshore and offshore locations.
• Manages development team. Reviews design, code, Unit test results and other deliverables from the team. Capability to ensure deliverable quality, Compliance to Design coding Standards, guidelines and best practices. Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect organization(s).
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum twelve (12) years of professional experience with four (4) years of technical leadership experience.
• Previous experience of working in onshore-offshore development teams, lead teams of 6 – 10 developers.
• Previous experience of working in Healthcare domain.
• Previous experience of working in Agile software development environments.
• Self-directed, perform work with minimum supervision. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present to senior leadership, as well as to the development team.
• Expertise in following technology/framework : Core Java, J2EE, Amazon Web Services, Apache Camel, Micro Services, JDBC, Spring, Sprint Boot, Hibernate, Web services SOAP/REST, MS SQL, Oracle, Amazon RDS, Git, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, Python, JBoss Fuse, Red Hat OpenShift, 3scale, Linux.
