Role Summary/Purpose
Our Client is looking for an experienced Scrum Master with extensive agile experience to help stand up our agile ceremonies for our existing development teams. The primary responsibility will be assisting the technology Lead as well as the Lead system/network architect as they build up their DevOps and backend development teams. Must have experience and familiarity with the SAFe framework as well as experience functioning as a scrum master. A key function of this position will be to pull from the best tools within the project manager tool kit while coaching the organization forward into agile practices. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: scheduling and facilitating technical conversations as needed while documenting key takeaways, next steps, and requirements. Building and maintaining detailed project plan as required. Documenting Epics, user stories and tasks as needed. Planning and facilitating scrum ceremonies.
Working with the devops teams, developer teams, and service delivery to coordinate estimated delivery timelines and document inter-team dependencies.
Essential Responsibilities
• Assisting the technology Lead as well as the Lead system/network architect as they build up their DevOps and backend development teams.
• Pull from the best tools within the project manager tool kit while coaching the organization forward into agile practices
• Scheduling and facilitating technical conversations as needed while documenting key takeaways, next steps, and requirements
• Epics, user stories and tasks as needed
• Constant re-prioritization for self and team tasks
• Planning and facilitating scrum ceremonies; sprint planning, refinement retro, sprint review/demo
• Guide & coach developers through scrum ceremonies; escalating issues as they arise in daily standup
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Efficient and able to prioritize effectively
• Takes responsibility/ownership for tasks to completion
• Good written and oral communication skills
• 2+ years of technical project management experience
• 2+ years of agile/SAFe experience
• 1+ years as a scrum master or RTE
• Familiarity with agile principles including scrum, SAFe, & Kanban
• Ability to document issues and escalate through appropriate channels
• Experience with managing and coordinating technical teams.
