Position: Frontend / Data Visualization Developer

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Duration: 6 Months

Client: University of Virginia

Rate: $50/Hr. on C2C

Must have:

- JavaScript and Python Development

- Experience working to update/enhance/add to web pages

- Experienced in debugging front-end JavaScript

- Shaping SQL output into structured data for visualizations

Required Skills:

Front End Web Development, Python, Flash, Django, JavaScript, Data Visualization Libraries
Does not NEED Tableau experience, previous exp from a project or certification will work

Basic Qualifications:

- Have you used Flask/Django before and know the difference of when to use them?
- Have you built a front end of an application using python?
- Have you transferred analytical data onto a web page?
- Are you familiar with Tableau and using it?
- Are you familiar with web securities that are used when building web applications?
- Have you worked with stored SQL data and moved onto a web page?

Additional Skills:

It will be mostly table forms and will require front end development skills such as Django/Flask. Would prefer to have someone with strong front end skills and some visualization experience in Tableau. The role can sit remote but would prefer local or regional candidates. They are truly looking for a front end web developer that can role out analytical applications, using Django, Flask and Python. They will be responsible for deploying analytical apps in the front end and building/launching applications into the front end using python/JavaScript.

Job Description:

- Experience working with deprecated and cross-functional systems

- Experience working in web pages already made for enhancements/new features. Experienced working in web application, debugging front-end JavaScript libraries (e.g., Plot.ly, Tabulator), and shaping SQL output into structured data for visualizations.

- Needs to be able to vision to conceptualize some of the elements of application development.

- Formatting Query Results as JSON with FOR JSON

- Experience with Flask or other python based web/web services frameworks

- Demonstrated experience with implementing production web services

- Experience with authentication in a REST web service

- Experience with securing web applications that accept user input Comfortable creating and maintaining thorough documentation (this will be essential for continuity)
