Job Description

 

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Banking Research to join onsite in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) with deep process understanding in Research, Equities, Fixed Income (FID), or M&A functions.

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in gathering business requirements, analysing processes, and partnering with stakeholders to design and deliver effective solutions. The role will also involve contributing to transformation initiatives, leveraging modern tools such as Copilot (AI productivity tools), and potentially managing project streams if project management skills are demonstrated.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring alignment of requirements and deliverables.
• Partner with Research, Equities, FID, or M&A business functions to analyse processes, workflows, and requirements.
• Document and validate current processes and recommend improvements to achieve efficiency and accuracy.
• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
• Support business research teams in adopting AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Copilot).
• Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder discussions with CIB stakeholders.
• Assist in planning, tracking, and delivery of initiatives; if applicable, manage project streams with end-to-end accountability.
• Provide support during testing, integration, and deployment phases of project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations in all deliverables.

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB).
• Strong knowledge of processes within Research, Equities, FID, or M&A domains.
• Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders within CIB.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience using Copilot or AI productivity tools for research and process optimization.
• Prior experience as a Project Manager, with ability to manage timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Exposure to digital transformation initiatives within investment banking.
