Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Java Cloud Engineer / Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments. This role requires strong ownership, architectural thinking, and hands-on technical excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies.
• Architecture & Design: Implement complex solutions in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, contributing to design discussions and hands-on development.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with evolving business priorities in Agile environments.
• Technical Leadership: Own critical components, ensuring system performance, reliability, and maintainability, while mentoring junior engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Engineering Rigor: Bring clarity to ambiguous requirements using strong engineering judgment and initiative.
• Best Practices: Champion excellence in testing, CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality code.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 9+ years of professional software development experience with a strong technical foundation.
• Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with real-time streaming architectures and microservices patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver cloud-native applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven architectures in production systems.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control, and DevOps tooling.
• Strong experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DocumentDB) databases.
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and deployment automation.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• "Full ownership" mindset — writing, testing, deploying, and validating your own code for end-to-end reliability.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across architecture, product, and engineering teams.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in event streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, or Pulsar).
• Exposure to serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, etc.).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
