Position: Functional Tester - Finance & Investment Operations

Location: Boston MA (onsite) – Locals Only

Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract

 

LinkedIn and Passport Number are mandatory for submission.

Need 10+ years' experience

 

Rate: $60/hr on C2C Max.

 

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute test cases for trade lifecycle systems and other complex financial applications (e.g., order management, accounting, or reconciliation platforms).
• Work alongside QA leads to log, track, and verify defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Act as a communication bridge between the QA team and investment operations/business users to clarify testing scope and functionality.
• Analyze and review legacy business process documents, operational workflows, and user manuals.
• Rewrite and align documentation with newly implemented or enhanced systems.
• Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles with business stakeholders and help facilitate issue resolution.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA and documentation processes by providing insights and feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into business language.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Basic familiarity with QA processes, including writing test cases and using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience creating or editing user documentation, process flows, or training materials.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to investment operations or financial systems.
