Job Title: Project Manager

Location: New York, NY 10020

Duration: 6 months

 

Project Manager / Scrum Master

 

10+ years of experience as a PM or SM in IT with more than 5 years in Financial Institutions (Capital Markets projects, NOT Retail or Banking side).

Hands on Knowledge of Market Risk concepts and processes. Knowledge of Financial and Derivatives related

Risk concepts – Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk etc.

 

 

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

 1. 10+ years of experience as a PM or SM in IT with more than 5 years in Financial Institutions (Capital Markets projects, NOT Retail or Banking side)

 2. Expertise in writing user stories with good acceptance criteria in JIRA

 3. Good understanding of ETL and Data warehouse concepts with some hands-on experience with data analysis

 4. Expert in managing JIRA boards, Dashboards, Confluence pages, Excel reporting, and creating and tracking KPIs

 5. Good communication and presentation skills

 6. Highly Preferred: Hands on Knowledge of Market Risk concepts and processes

7. Secondary Preference : Knowledge of Financial and Derivatives related Risk concepts – Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk etc.

 

 Roles & Responsibilities

 1. Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.

 2. Coach team members in Agile frameworks.

 3. Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, ensuring agile practices are followed and understood.

 4. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

 5. Assist in tracking and removing impediments, fostering an environment for high team performance and continuous improvement.

 6. Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration

 7. Manage project scope and timeline.

 8. Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests

 9. Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur

 10. Help teams implement changes effectively

 11. Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.

 12. Work with development team on continuous improvement.

 13. Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation, and status updates for the ongoing projects.

 14. Collaborate with other project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
