Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2/L3 Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lake Mary, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production support, Unix/Linux administration, and database management, with hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving real-time issues using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of our applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 application support for critical production systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Utilize monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time.
- Perform Unix/Linux administration tasks, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Manage and optimize databases (SQL Server, Oracle), including writing and optimizing complex queries, performing ETL tasks, and ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy, maintain, and support applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational best practices across all systems and applications.
- Provide on-call support as needed to address critical production issues outside of standard business hours.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production support and troubleshooting complex application issues.
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux administration and scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
- In-depth knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle), including query optimization, ETL processes, and data integrity.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS.
- Proficiency in using monitoring and diagnostic tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management) is a plus.
