full stack developer with react and java --- local to IL

Role: Fullstack JAVA Developer
Location: Riverwoods, IL - Hybrid, onsite 2 to 3 days
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Developer with a strong foundation in both React for front-end development and Java for back-end systems. As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to build responsive, high-performance, and scalable web applications. Key Responsibilities:
Frontend Development (React):

Develop and maintain user-facing features using React.
Implement responsive designs and ensure compatibility across multiple devices.
Optimize components for maximum performance across a variety of devices and browsers.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create visually appealing and functional web interfaces.
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for interactive elements.

Backend Development (Java):

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java.
Integrate with third-party APIs and develop custom RESTful APIs for front-end consumption.
Ensure high performance and scalability of the backend, especially for high-traffic applications.
Develop and maintain secure authentication, authorization, and data access layers.
Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Frontend Expertise:
Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Webpack, Babel, and ESLint.

Backend Expertise:
Strong experience in Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

General Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with GraphQL.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
