Requirement details:
Role: DB2 DBA (Part time Three days a week)
Location: Remote
Experience: 8+ Years
Duration: Long Term
Job Type: Part Time
Rate: Max upto $40/hr on C2C (No Negotations)
Job Responsibilities
1. Looking at performance and availability reports (current and next day only), synthesize and figure out what’s good and bad (cost, performance, etc)
2. More modern reporting services.
3. Looking into putting SRE’s in place to look at bigger problems (some days running at 1/3 thread max, then spikes, figure out root cause). Latch escalations on RO tables causing overheads
4. DB2 stability – buffer pools, zparms, zIIP utilization trends
5. z/OS stability – similar to DB2
6. Day to Day help (performance team)
