Oracle Xstore Consultant
Summary
We are seeking an Oracle Xstore Consultant who is a seasoned technical expert and proficient team leader in the development of J2EE applications. This role encompasses both senior-level technical contributions and effective leadership within the Development Team. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Technical Architect, and other stakeholders; the Oracle Xstore Consultant will play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing every phase of the software development lifecycle, across diverse technology platforms and disciplines. Furthermore, this position involves offering technical support and mentorship to project team members and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements - 5-6 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in J2EE Software Design and/or Development.
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering custom software solutions using object-oriented design and programming concepts.
- Proficiency in working with distributed teams and leading development teams.
- Skill and experience with the following:
- Application Servers (preferably WebLogic, Jetty, and JBoss);
- Unix Shell and Windows Scripting;
- Spring Framework;
- Oracle Technologies;
- Relational Databases;
- Web Services.
- In-depth knowledge of the following:
- Object Oriented Programming & Design;
- Operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Intermediate to Advanced understanding of hardware.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to articulate design rationales clearly and build consensus around designs.
- Ability to learn and leverage new frameworks and tools swiftly;
- A keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Willingness to work flexible-hours as needed to accommodate offshore team and client requirements.
- Occasional travel may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Preferred - Previous experience in the retail industry and/or familiarity with Oracle Retail/MOM.
