Description:

12+ month contract with possible hire/extensions. This is a Hybrid position from day one in Newark, NJ (2 days onsite/3 days remote) – MUST BE IN THE TRI STATE AREA – not relocating to the area.

The ideal candidate should have at least 7+ years of experience developing and deploying SAS Base, SAS/SQL, SAS Procs and experience developing Tableau dashboards in the insurance and/or Financial Services industry working in an Agile environment is required The client will hire over a couple of MS Teams Technical Video Assessments.

Job Description :

• 7 years' experience developing and deploying SAS Base, SAS/SQL, SAS Procs
• 7 years' experience developing Tableau dashboards
• Experience developing and deploying application code using Hadoop Hive and Impala.
• Experience developing Linux, UNIX shell scripts.
• Working knowledge of version control tools and branching techniques using Artifactory, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
• Experience with Autosys workload automation
• Participate in data analysis of existing source system data to help identify patterns, aid in data quality and map data to new or existing requirements
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative recommendations, factoring in customer needs, external approaches, data analytics, as well as industry best practices.
• Experience developing procedures on relational databases

• Leadership skill/ Soft skills: Collaborative, team player. Self-starter. Curious about technology.
• Industries: Financial services tech experience is must.
