Job Description:
The Cognos Developer is responsible for creating Cognos solutions, designing Cognos Reports and Frameworks and providing Cognos Report and Dashboard expertise to Cognos developers. In addition, the Cognos Developer is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, planning, preparing, implementing, organizing, and executing developmental tasks and developing and delivering solutions to production. Position Duties Responsible for the full life cycle of planning and implementing BI and Analytics solutions with Cognos.

Skills:
8 + years of development and lead experience with Business Intelligence solutions using IBM Cognos BI and Analytics Suite • Strong communication and documentation skills • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and business knowledge. • Ability to perform project management activities. • Strong knowledge in IBM Cognos Business Intelligence v11.xx • Strong Admin knowledge in Cognos 10/11 BI servers • Knowledge in Cognos 11 installs in Windows & Linux • Cognos 11 Server tuning • Cognos 11 SDK Knowledge • Cognos 11 Power Play Knowledge • Knowledge of databases (Oracle) & SQL is a must. • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Relational/Star Schema modeling and design as well as Web Services (COGNOS Web Services, HTML, XML, etc.). • Knowledge of data and data manipulation techniques. - ETL concepts - Data Modeling - Data Governance - OLAP tools • Experience with Compatible and Dynamic Cube Design

Mandatory skills: Advanced Cognos, Oracle PL/SQL Programming
