Position: Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Location: Coral Gables, Florida, initially remote (Prefer people in Florida or who are open to travel)

Duration: Long term Contract


Job Purpose:

Client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our talented team. Your central responsibility as the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be to support EOT strategic cloud initiatives, develop, optimize, and oversee our company’s cloud systems. Your duties may include supporting project deliverables, managing VDI infrastructure and ensuring compliance with security policies. A successful candidate will have experience working in an enterprise environment and methodically managing several cloud technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proficiency in both Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies.

 

Principal Job Elements & Responsibilities:

· Build, design, deploy, maintain, and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple cloud offerings, e.g., AWS and Microsoft Azure.

· Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for Azure & AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.

· Broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, performance tuning of cloud environments.

· Support a standardized deployment process for cloud resources across all EOT initiatives.

· Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.

· Technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/Windows, Application knowledge of Java, .Net, and IT security.

· Experience with configuring software defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs.

· Strong Knowledge and understanding of VLANS and Subnets in both Cloud and Hybrid On-Prem environments

· Experience with DevOps procedures and processes and with working in an Agile environment.

· Support and deploy Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in Azure and workstations within AWS.

· Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance

· Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.

· Analyze and document issues in the governance of cloud resources, including problem, opportunity, and solution resolutions.

· Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.

· Must be willing to cooperate in documenting standard processes for deployment where needed.

· This role has no management responsibilities Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred, but not required

· At least 5+ years working with cloud platforms.

· Certifications on Azure and Amazon Web Services are highly desirable.

· Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.

· Troubleshooting and analytical skills.

· Good communication and collaboration skills.

· Client management skills
