Job Description
- Delivery of Cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives with a focus on Cloud migrations
- Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the cloud including:
- Design, implementation and support of infrastructure as code
- Research new cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance
- Design of cloud infrastructure with a focus on Azure using industry best practices
- Provide code reviews of team members work.
- Perform Quality Assurance (i.e. Testing) on other team members development activities.
Additional Job Details: *Intake call notes* 6 months with the ability to extend or convert to permanent. 1 round interview for an hour with the manager and 2 other members of the team. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US as long as they can work the core hours of 9-4pm CST.
Minimum Required Skills
- 4 year degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise applications, solution design and technical architecture experience.
- 3+ years experience in Azure based cloud computing based services architecture.
- Programming experience (Java, C#, etc.)
- Container technologies such as Docker
- Strong understanding across cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, data, and applications) to deliver end to end cloud infrastructure architectures and designs
- Experience automating infrastructure in a cloud environment using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Shell scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation and management
- GIT based Source Control Systems
The manager has provided the following feedback: In-depth knowledge of Ansible or Kubernetes. In-depth knowledge of Terraform. Experience on developing and maintaining release pipelines for infrastructure in Azure DevOps. Experience working in Azure. Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts (NSG’s, route tables, hub-spoke model, DNS, etc…). Strong communication skills. Any background in development.
