Position: QA with Pega Location: Remote Duration: Long term JD- QA* Position Summary Responsible for Quality Assurance and validation testing for new and existing functionality including planning, developing, executing, and maintaining manual/automated test cases and test scripts based on business requirements. Essential Job Functions. - Develop, write, and review test plans and test cases based on end-to-end test strategy, risk analysis, functional specifications, and use of system within existing infrastructure.
- Attend design meetings to gain a better understanding of system architecture and review test plans and cases with key stakeholders. Provide test metrics/coverage assurance.
- Actively participate in planning, estimation, and prioritization processes to ensure successful execution of testing activities
- Work with developers and business system analysts to execute test strategies, test plans, manual test cases, and document results to ensure proper functionality and defect resolution.
- Research and review defects and test coverage with development and product owners to identify, measure, and improve quality.
- Anticipate potential problems by creating test scenarios and updates test cases for system when appropriate to reflect changes in product functionality or requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis of process improvements to determine efficiencies and best practices, make recommendations to management on how to improve current practices and processes and solve issues related to business unit.
- Participate in efforts to collect and analyze metrics utilizing existing internal reporting tools to continually improve processes and reports.
- Troubleshoot hardware or software issues. Log system failures, reports bugs to developers, and proactively works with team members for quick resolutions.
- Keep abreast of current methodologies, technologies, and tools, and proactively seek ways to incorporate them into testing efforts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the specified system(s) or application(s) and point of contact between the business unit and Information Technology. Works with management to define user acceptance testing within the business unit.
Primary Responsibilities. - Review and verify customer requirements
- Help define Acceptance Criteria during Sprint Planning.
- Develop Test Cases during sprint work.
- Completes Functional testing within each environment during the Sprint
- Identify regression and edge cases.
- Create and maintain Smoke tests
