Title - Senior Automation/Performance Engineer in Test Location - Denver, CO (Initially Remote)
Job Description Key Responsibilities Be a team member on the Performance/Automation team API, Functional, Systems and GUI testing of Switchfly products. Execute, maintain, and extend test coverage for the automation suite. Familiar with automation tools such as Selenium and Performance tools such as JMeter. Experience with at least one OOPL, preferably Java and familiar with other languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy. Experience with other test automation tools, Cucumber, Docker, Silk test, Appium a plus Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Communicate information effectively cross-functionally. Provide QA support to internal customers as necessary. Increase the automation coverage based on high-risk areas defined with the team. Overall responsibility of Performance Engineering and Performance Testing Tasks for engaged projects - including strategy, estimation, planning, execution oversight, metrics reporting and risk management. Bottom-line responsibility for providing thought leadership and expertise concerning Non-Functional Testing for the team, its members, and the deliverables. Responsible for selecting/maintaining and integrating the appropriate set of tools, processes, and procedures to ensure overall testing efficiency and effectiveness in the operations. Makes sure that the test cases are developed according to the identified test scenarios and test objectives that are in line with the Service Level Agreements specified in the Non-Functional requirements document(s). Identify, recommend, and implement framework, strategies, and toolsets to optimize test execution, expand test coverage, and reduce risk Produce and maintain. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around the testing performed. Manage best in class service quality and manage SLA/OLAs accordingly. Lead a continuous process improvement program within the team and at the project level reviewing trends, data, etc- Partner with Technical Product Owner/Scrum Master in the development of plans, status communications, and the management of development software solutions. Monitor quality risks and escalate, as required. Provide regular status reporting consistent with established program governance requirements. Single point of contact for all deliverables from the Performance Engineering and Performance Testing team. Lead the analysis with development on the current technology implementation, modification activities and bugs.
