Role: Java Microservices Developer - SRE
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid/Onsite) – Need only local
Rate: $60/hr on C2C
Experience: 9+ years minimum

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer with strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience to build, support, and optimize highly available enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on Java development experience along with expertise in observability, monitoring, Azure integrations, and production support.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices development.
• Experience working with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Hands-on experience integrating applications with Azure APIs/Azure services.
• Experience creating and maintaining Grafana Dashboards for monitoring and observability.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or similar.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and ensuring application reliability and performance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Glassbox (preferred).
• Knowledge of Python or Go.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices.
• Implement SRE best practices to improve application reliability and scalability.
• Integrate enterprise applications using Azure APIs.
• Create and enhance Grafana dashboards for application and infrastructure monitoring.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response.
• Automate deployment and operational processes using CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• SRE, Azure, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
