Network Security Engineer ( Splunk+ firewalls)
Location: Remote (Wilmington, DE)
No OPT & CPT
8+ years Experience must
Job Description:-
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with network team, security team and with developer community to analyze application connectivity
- Develop firewall rulesets (Cisco ASA) based upon log analysis and ensure that all access has been vetted properly
- Work on custom Splunk queries for IP flow analysis
- Work on firewall and infrastructure capacity management.
- Assist in developing solutions and implement changes as necessary
- Perform network configuration changes / firewall updates in accordance with change management process
- Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network configuration, network diagrams and processes
- Ensures that all process and procedures have been implemented, and documented
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to network connectivity, partnering with our wider networking teams
- Participate in shift work and regular weekend work
Knowledge/Experience:
- Five – six years' experience in IT infrastructure engineering/support role.
- In-depth knowledge of firewall policy creation and Splunk queries
- Extensive experience with Cisco ASA firewalls. Checkpoint firewall experience is a plus
- Ability to develop Azure Network Security Groups is a plus
- Must possess ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and escalate issues effectively
- Outstanding written, verbal communication, as well as strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives in the execution of daily operations
