Summary
• The client is looking for Epic Systems Analyst to serve as a liaison between end-users, project team members, and other Information Management resources while providing exemplary customer service and Epic application support in the assigned Epic module.
• Monday to Friday Working 8 hour shifts between the hours of 08:00 AM-05:00 PM

Roles & Responsibilities
• The candidate has to provide onsite go-live support, upgrade support, and ongoing application support and optimization.
• In addition, the candidate will work closely with the Service Desktop to assist in responding to help desk tickets and end-user requests through analyzing business issues/requirements, analyzing workflows, and synthesizing key messages.
• The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in team environments.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Understand the business objectives and analyze, dissect system requirements and technical specifications 
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports 
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality 
  • Explore the automation scope wherever possible 
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases / data systems 
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets 
  • Display strong technical knowledge in product analysis and debugging 
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to product needs 
  • Work independently with little or no supervision 
  • Provide technical mentoring for team members, troubleshooting 
  • Understand design concepts and product architecture. Propose solutions for performance and security issues

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of IT experience in architecture of Big Data Technologies and ETL and other automation techniques 
  • Good experience on Unix shell command and scripting 
  • Experience of writing SQL and Complex SQLs 
  • Good knowledge of databases and Big Data especially Hive, HBase and Spark 
  • Fair knowledge on the Having experience on Hadoop Applications like Spark, Scala, Hbase, Hive, PIG, Sqoop 
  • Knowledge on tools like Kibana and Splunk 
  • Knowledge on Kafka Streaming 
  • Knowledge on implementing Data Integrations projects from sourcing to auditing and implements controls for each stage of Integration 
  • Deeply analytical 
  • Good communication and presentation skills 

Problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally, and to think with a medium term and long term perspective

Job Description
Manage IMS Mainframe databases adhering to company regulations and security standards. Assist with testing of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades. Attend meetings and interact regularly with management and the Team.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery Exercises.AT jobs regularly.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery Exercises.
• Provide database support to client Applications

Bachelor's degree/technical certification in Computer Science or related field or 5 - 7+ years of Mainframe DB2 Database Administration experience.
IMS Requirements,

1. Strong DBRC skills, database and RECON maintenance commands, user keys, etc. a MUST.
2. Strong experience with JCL, TSO/ISPF, IBM and z/OS utilities
3. Strong experience with IMS access via CICS, MQ and open system ODBC, JDBC drivers.
4. Proficient in IMS performance evaluation and tuning when necessary.
5. Experience using IMS catalog, IMS Explorer, SPOC Type2 commands, IMS Connect.
6. Familiarity supporting environments requiring database extended 24/7 availability.
7. Experienced in providing quality off-hours on-call support.
8. Experience with DR Exercise.
9. Experience with HALDB a plus.
