ETL/Data Engineer
Duration: 12 months (Only Contractor for now; can think of converting someone )
Location: McLean, VA (Need candidates in McLean, VA after September 07)
About the Project:
Card Tech area of Capital One. This position will support a newer initiative that we are providing a self-service kind of capability to our analyst who are involved in the policy making for our customers and do modification to our current policies.
This was launched in Sep last year. We are partnering with other team as well to meet the timelines.
There are tight timelines that are coming up in future.
Team Composition: 4 other associates; Currently Hiring: one for full time and a contractor (i.e. this one 41978-1)
Expectations from the candidate:
Sr level person who can hit the ground running and provide the desired support to our existing team
Adding the delivering and engineering skills for the team
We want Design the system and come up with the desired solutions accordingly.
Want someone to step in and guide the team
Design background
Good Comm skills
Independent person
Senior candidate
Must Haves:
ETL background along with Pyspark
AWS glue (Serverless Spark backed up by EMR's), lambda
CI/CD
DevOps
Microservices
Familiarity with Components of frontend
Nice to have (Expect them to learn them while working on this project):
Kafka: Streaming
Node.JS
React.JS
Java
Amazon Elastic Search
Willing to consider data engineers who are good in python, AWS, DevOps and good ETL knowledge. But they should be comfortable with learning more on the other listed technologies.
Interview Process:
1st Round (30-35 Mins): Will discuss more about the technologies and system they have used.
2nd Round (Technical Screening)
