Position: Sr. Data Engineer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 3 Months

Client: Babylon Health

Rate: 60/Hr. on C2C

 

Required Skills

Key Responsibilities: Understand and evaluate technical interfaces with third parties Leading a building API integrations with data suppliers Profiling data for quality and completeness etc Writing both POC and production grade code for to best industry practice Writing unit, integration and acceptance tests for the code they have written Taking part in agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning and sprint retrospective Working closely with product owners (to help refine requirements) and quality assurance engineers ______________________________________________________________________________ Key Skills required: Competency in one of Babylon's chosen software languages (Java, python) Competency working with large data sets structured & semi structured Understanding of health data ecosystems HIE, Networks and EMR systems Understand of FHIR , CCD and other healthcare interoperability frameworks and standards Knowledge of popular software frameworks for the relevant language (desirable) Understanding of software testing methodologies Understanding of relevant technologies, including databases and cloud deployment

 

Job Description

Definition of the Service:

Supplier shall provide software engineering support and partnership for the advancement of Babylon software product and data focused initiatives.

Services are expected to deliver new features, enhancements and fixes focused on a custom-developed Application Programming Interface (API) in support of Babylon's Electronic Health Record (EHR) data ingestion from a Health Data Aggregator of Babylon's choosing, and into either Babylon's Data Science Ananlytics Tool (DSAT) or Customer Health Record (CHR) repository as appropriate.

Services are expected to include software development support on the API listed above, as well as supporting data quality evaluation and programming related to data cleansing. The primary technologies are expected to leverage Java and/or Python programming languages, and the work shall be mutually defined and refined by Babylon and Supplier in the Product Backlog.
