Hi,
Hope you are doing great!!
Please o through the below job description and let me know your thoughts.
Title: FICO Developer
Location: 100% remote
Interview : Phone and skype
Description:
The individual selected for this role will be knee deep in doing coding. That will be the vast majority of
their job. During the release process there will be tasks like checking against the repository and doing
repository validations. There will also be instances where they need to jump in on prod support but
very little.
Mark explained BLAZE/FICO as a template oriented programming language. Think of it as an excel
spreadsheet that asks questions and sets rules that produces an outcome. The application creates
logic with imbedded templates. In this instance the outcome is either approving an applicant,
declining or sending to an underwriter.
For this role the candidates must have the following experience:
-FICO/BLAZE experience
-Java & JavaScript
-spring
-agile work environment
-Jenkins
Nice to have:
-has worked in the insurance industry
Soft skills:
-thick accents are going to be tough to work with. Given that the work is going to be remote the
communication has to be clear
-has some sort of polish - not executive polish but not rough around the edges
-they may have to talk with an underwriter every now and then
The work is remote and will not need to be in the office. It is not a contract to hire role so there is no
expectation of converting at this point. The duration is 12 months.
