Position: Business Analyst (Workflow Management)

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 12 Months

Client: OptumHealth / UHG

Rate: $50/Hr. on C2C

Visa:  Only USC, GC, H4/L2/GC EAD's

 

Required Skills:

BA experience, requirement gathering, user stories MUST have healthcare and prior authorization experience!! Need Workflow management ServiceNow is a HUGE plus

 

Job Description

Overview:

The business and application enables Providers to go in and submit their own Prior Authorizations (PA's) and get an immediate decision online. PAN is the system or tool that they use for the Providers to do that. PAN feeds into a vendor. Vendor feeds into their internal application for all the utilization management. (Multiple systems)

Their team is a combination of command center support, Testing & UAT, as well as Research & Analysis. Production releases are once or twice a month.

There are hiring 4 Business Analysts to focus on Work Router 

 

Team/Group:

External capabilities

Complex program management – end to end projects

Business requirements- Agile (not purists)

Change Management – organization readiness – training, user access, change communications

 

Product – Work Router

Workflow Management Tool – capabilities being built out in ServiceNow

Tool routes certain request or tasks to right area of the organization (prior authorization cases comes in, this tool routes to the correct department to be handled)

BA's – 1-2 should have WFM experience, others should have healthcare/prior authorization – not everyone needs WFM

Not all BAs need to be senior

In a perfect world candidates would have both WFM and ServiceNow experience, but if not will prioritize WFM experience

Service Now is used for issues management and how the route the work to be done. ServiceNow is the platform in which they are building their WFM tool.

 

Tools:

Rally – backlog, stories (not required)

Aha – roadmap (not required)

BA's overall:

User stories

Influence the business, don't just agree and take orders

Think, challenge, and understand the "why"

Understand that current state, doesn't necessarily need to be future state – think creatively identify the value driven requirements

 

Notes

There are 4 openings, rates will vary between these and there is flexibility for higher level resources above posted rate MUST have healthcare and prior authorization experience. 2 of the 4 will need to have the Workflow management
