SQL DBA role with some developing exp, Tuning, data models, index.

Position: SQL DBA

Location:Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6-12 Montsh(contract)

Experience: 9+ (Required)

Responsibilities:

•Enforce, refine and document database standards

•Work with technical/development leads to develop/ review database designs

•Assess and identify database server resource requirements

•Develop and maintain data models

•Demonstrate advanced understanding of multiple database platforms

•Code, test and deploy database changes

•Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention to prevent customer impact

•Review performance stats and recommend changes for tuning database and application queries

•Assist developers in the development and tuning of database queries, stored procedures, indexes, etc.

•Participate in periodic backup audits, including test restores ensuring all databases and associated logs are being backed-up

•Lead requirements assessments for backup and recovery

•Assume ownership of database-related problems; pursue problem resolution and root cause analysis
