I am trying to fill up a consulting position for one of our major clients for an important project. More about the project details are given below
 
 
Role- Open BMC Consultant
Location- Austin, TX
Duration- 1+ Yea
 
 
• Design, Develop and modify firmware for server hardware platforms that meet or exceed the requirements of the technical spec including, but not limited to: Performance, User Interface, System run time operation, firmware updates, error handling, error recovery and Quality/Reliability.
• 5+ years' experience in BMC Firmware development for 2 socket x86 servers
• Experience with AMI MegaRac BMC firmware base, development tools and workflows is a must
• In depth knowledge of IPMI 2.0 and DCMI 1.5 Specifications is required
• Detailed working ability with IPMITool and other user interfaces to the BMC
• In Depth working expertise with the RedFish speciation and RESTFul interfaces
• The ability to analyze firmware and hardware issues and work closely with other team members to debug and seek complex system level issues
• Familiarity with Open BMC and other trending hyperscale trends
• A high level of skill in problem recreation and trapping as well as identifying and optimizing the performance of critical algorithms
• Experience working directly with AMI to make code changes
• Direct experience working with Taiwanese and Chinese ODMs on server development programs.
• Hands-on experience in firmware development and verification and automated QA environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multifunctional teams
• Must be able to independently and cooperatively handle time and prioritize tasks as necessary while ensuring critical deadlines are met
• Continuously improving the existing environment
