Job Title: Architecture/Design/Development - Java Developer II

Location:Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

Software Engineer experienced in developing large-scale customer facing applications used by hundreds of millions of users.? The role requires design and development of complex software systems to support existing and new product features.? Ability to develop highly scalable and reliable applications.? Java, J2EE, Spring, RESTful Web Services.

In this role, you will be responsible for Development and enhancements of portals developed for Client. You will function as a SPOC for development pursuit and liaise with offshore teams, client managers and several business/service lines to ensure proper solution design, cost and fitment to the business.
Your role will function as an overlay of technical and domain knowledge, owning initiatives to closure, helping support teams and business operations on quick triaging of production issues

Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain Java Application Processes

Participate in Software/Architectural Design Discussions
Develop technical designs and improve on existing processes
Experience in applying Agile methodology to software development & should have been a part of an Agile Team.
Ability plan and track key technical deliverables independently from design to warranty

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications

Engineering Background
5 to 6 years of hands-on software development experience on Java.
Strong SQL knowledge - JDBC and SQL
Strong knowledge of concurrency principles
Experience with API & Micro-services
Familiarity with UI technologies – Angular JS, React, Hibernate, Spring, Java 8+.
Experience in scripting in a Linux operating environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, keen to work in a dynamic environment
Highly motivated, committed and capable of working to timelines
Well versed with Agile methodology

Preferred qualifications

Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management skills
Good understanding of Caching solutions
Good understanding of scalability or performance tuning concepts
Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks
Proficient at working with large and complex code bases
BFS domain is preferable. Lending business is big plus
