Job Title: Python Devops Engineer

Mode of Hire – Contract

Location – Seattle, WA

Job Description:

Technical skill requirements:

· Strong software design and coding skill set. Fluency with Python, shell scripting and SQL is required. Programming experience in one or more of the following: TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, Go, Java or C++ is a plus.

· Strong debugging and root cause analysis in complex systems. Be able to respond to alerts for build and test failures in release automation tooling and infrastructure.

· Developing tooling and infrastructure to enable a fully automated release process.

· Create dashboards and metrics to measure release process health.

· Triage issues and perform root cause analysis.

· If prior experience at Google, strong familiarity with software build, release and deployment tools and infrastructure: Piper, Rapid, Sisyphus, TAP, Guitar, Buganizer.

Release coordination/release management skill requirements:

· Perform twice weekly releases for Rapid projects that are owned by the Cloud Console (Pantheon) Team.

· Provide release operational support which includes, but not limited to Rapid questions and operations such as pool setup/config and build troubleshooting.

· Strong english communication skills (both written and verbal). Should be comfortable to facilitate release status/standup meetings of 4-5 people.

· Strong attention to detail and comfortable with working under deadlines.

· Strong analytical skills and ability to make judgement calls with limited or ambiguous data and move forward.
