Role: Big Data Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

Must have: Strong Experience with Hadoop ETL/ Data Ingestion: Sqoop, Hive, Oozie

Must have: Strong experience on SQL and PL/SQL and writing efficient code e.g Joins, Partitioning

Must have: Strong Data Ingestion experience e.g. Full load, Incremental load techniques

Must have: Good knowledge of Automation with any scripting experience

Nice to have: Experience in Real-Time Data Ingestion using Kafka, Storm, Spark or Complex Event Processing

Nice to have: Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning services and applications and operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of systems capacity, bottlenecks, and basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.

Nice to have: Experience in Design & Development of API framework using Python/Java

Nice to have: Experience in developing BI Dashboards and Reports

Nice to have: Familiarity with streaming applications

Nice to have: Experience in development methodologies like Agile / Scrum
