Overview:
Our Client is seeking talented individuals to join our Digital Payments team as we build the future of secure digital payments. We are developing a new standards-based solution to secure, streamline, and scale e-commerce checkouts to deliver the best digital experience anywhere a customer pays.
Role:
As a Consultant, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for enabling the technical quality of platform services and product solutions. This role helps the delivery team with the test automation strategy, tooling in CI/CD, test data set ups, code quality, and component level functional test automation. You will be a subject matter expert and responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the test automation framework all the way through to Production.
You will be accountable to enable collaboration across multiple teams including engineers, tech leads and architects to deliver high quality and exceptional experience to our customers with best testing practices in mind. In addition, you will also be the technical spokesperson for your domain and responsible to drive future operational efficiencies for development teams.
Major Responsibilities:
Analyzes code review reports and development quality to make sure best practices are being followed
Defines and drives features that are developed by the team
Develops/monitors quality gating and automation strategy for a given project looking at code coverage and API vs. UI level functionality.
Designs and builds custom test automation tools for use across multiple stakeholders
Maintains and develops test automation framework built for a cloud-based microservices architecture application
Reviews Service Delivery Health metrics
Reviews test automation results
Reviews active stories for proper scope including testing and define test scenarios
Troubleshoots and resolves complex application issues in a distributed environment
Leads stakeholders through demos, presentations and prototypes
Identifies opportunities to improve effectiveness and speed to market
Mentors and coaches other SDETs
All About You:
Advanced experience in test engineering roles with strong knowledge of QA methodologies and tools
Advanced software development experience for automation with object-oriented languages, Java
Experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for a cloud-based, microservices architecture, application
Experience with a variety of test automation tools like JUnit, Selenium, Node, Appium, Espresso, JBehave, Spock, Cypress, Cucumber, Perfecto, BrowserStack, Hexawise etc.
Strong knowledge of build/deployment automation and continuous integration using tools such as Jenkins
Excellent communication & collaboration skills and influencing best practices across Scrum teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity and experience in developing consumer-driven contract testing using tools such as Pact
Good understanding of JavaScript and familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, VueJS or ReactJS
Familiarity and understanding of Java Spring Boot Framework
Experience with cloud application platform tools such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS
