Job Summary: The Business Systems Analyst works within a broad and diverse group of business representatives and I.T. engineers, to gather business functional requirements, execute business process engineering, participate in data modeling, and design functional specification tests for Client’s internal software applications, Custom-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, and SaaS Solutions. These solutions will include having a working knowledge of the network, servers, and applications that may span a Hybrid-Cloud and Internal/External Cloud services within the Client technology platform. The position requires in-depth hands-on knowledge of functional requirements gathering, gap analysis, data modeling, LEAN process engineering; a working knowledge of working knowledge of web and cloud-based technologies and services, and concepts; and a proven ability to communicate in written and verbal form.
Principal Duties:
1. Define, refine, and create artifacts like Conceptual Entity Relationship Model, Data Dictionary, Business Process Models, Logical Data Models, Business Functional Requirements, Functional Specification Tests, etc. for a solution under consideration. For all the definitions, create the required documents in an approved tool to guide the team of IT Engineers. 2. Provide requirements and technical analysis on projects and facilitate the definition of project deliverables. Complete project deliverables or provide consulting work efforts based on the agreed scope; estimates work effort, duration, resources and requirements. Ensure that requirements are being met. Research, identify and assist in development of solutions to business challenges and opportunities. 3. Follow standard development processes and transport process including Agile, SDLC methodologies, DevOps, Source Code Management, etc. Ability to apply IT security standards and practices as well as adhere to these standards in the design of new and existing technologies within our corporate and store infrastructure 4. Technical consultant for the team and internal business teams. Serve as an expert in the systems and process within the domain scope. Serve as a resource and knowledge expert to Applications Development Manager in the project areas. |

Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a technical discipline preferred (e.g., engineering) or equivalent.
2. 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience or demonstration of equivalent proficiency level
3. Proficiency in the systems engineering model of requirements gathering
4. Proficiency in LEAN process engineering
5. Proficiency in process modelling (BPMN)
6. Some knowledge of program languages and around API development concepts and abstracts
7. Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
8. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Appium/Selenium, Cucumber, Junit)
9. Strong understanding of AWS Services and visualized environments
10. Enthusiasm for Client’s products and core values
11. Experience in the fields of commerce, retail, and/or grocery is a plus
