Location:  Houston, TX

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Visa: No H1b

Job Description:

 

Manager call notes:

Good REST services experience. Can talk and demonstrate experience from Oracle background.
SQL and Oracle experience. Heavy on backend services.

 

Qualifications/Skills: 
• 6-9 years’ experience as a backend .Net Developer 
• Bachelor’s degree required 
• .Net, C#, Oracle, and SQL Server required 
• Agile preferred 
• Overall understanding of Scrum methodology preferred 
• Microsoft certification preferred 
• Airline or Financial industry highly preferred 

 

Description:

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use 
• Use Microsoft .NET Framework and a supported programming language (e.g., VB.NET, Visual C#) 
• Serve as technical expert on development projects 
• Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design 
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements 
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality 
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation 
• Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed 
• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements 

Requirements: 
• Seeking a Sr. level backend .Net developer 
• Individual will be working on the one primary project due to the aggressive timeline for completion. 
• Will assist with Scrum stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives 
• Responsible for interacting with 3 other channels within the business. As there are several department involved in the development of the project 
• Day to day responsibilities include coding, production releases, and .Net development 
• Project information: Company changing the process for obtaining lost luggage. This project tracks if a passenger's luggage is on the same flight as the individual. If not, instead of proceeding to the bagging service office the individual will now receive a text informing them of lost luggage. The individual will now completed a form and proceed with leaving. This will decrease the wait time for lost luggage return. This individual will be responsible for the system development
