Description:
As a member of the Platform as a Service team, you will be responsible for the design and development of medium to highly complex systems. This includes the design and implementation of infrastructure from specifications, configuration and deployment of applications, connecting to back-end resources, and advanced troubleshooting of moderately complex software applications. Deployment, middleware administration and operational support of (production, staging, test and development) environments for multiple projects using WebSphere, Weblogic, and Tomcat Application Server. Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures, and provides Tier 2 technical support.
In addition, this role requires the candidate to be highly flexible in hours of work because of its customer-facing, highly available infrastructure requirements. Work closely with Dev, QA and production support team members to align and orchestrate resolutions on open issues/defects. Provides high level written communications to upper management regarding production issues.
Required Skills:
· Experience with cloud platforms AWS( Auto scaling , AVI, security, EC2 , EFS , EBS , S3 , KMS)
· Hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible
· Working knowledge of monitoring tools like CA Wily, New Relic, and Datadog
· Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash
· Execution on all release engineering aspects of DevOps including the configuration management , Build and Deployment Management, Continuous Integration and Delivery
· Ansible based deployment and configuration automation solutions.
· Experience with web based services and protocols ( HTTP , HTTPS, REST , Apache , Tomcat)
· Migration Experience with JEE Applications to open source.
· Experience on advanced Linux concepts ( Namespaces , CGroups )
· Experience with micro-service architectures and deployment.
· Knowledge on L2/L3 protocols , IPv4/IPv6 and TCP/IP stack .
· Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server to Springboot Tomcat migration for J2EE applications.
· 3-5 years managing and administrating middleware technologies(Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat).
· 3+ years hands-on experience with Solaris, Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), in bare-metal and Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, OpenStack)
· Proficiency in high level script languages (Python preferred) as well as script environments like bash Experience with DevOps workflow automation (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet)
· Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
· Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Stash
· M.S. or relevant experience required.
Preferred to have:
· AWS Certification (Feb 2018 released exam or old)
· Experience in scripting - Ansible, Cloudformation, Jython and UNIX shell scripting
· Experience on AWS build automation, Jenkins, Ansible scripting for docker/non-docker microservices
· Dev Ops Tools - Stash, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes

Description:
Works on problems of Trmoderate and varied complexity where analysis of data may require adaptation of standardized practices or precedent. Acts independently to identify and select appropriate methodologies. Work customarily and regularly (50% of time or more) requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment. May receive general instructions on non-routine work assignments. Decisions are made independently. Assigned multiple tasks or projects are generally reviewed after completion. JOB DUTIES:
This position will be working on developing APIs/MicroServices using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud. He/she will be coding, unit testing, integration testing, testing support, and doing production support. He/she will be working closely with other team members in the team as well as with other teams such as Client, QA, BA, App Support, Infra, etc.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Experience as Developer with J2EE and Java technologies, Spring, Servlet, Web Services, XML, XSLT, MicroServices/API .
- solid working experience of Java, OOP, MicroServices/API, modular code development, design pattern, multi-threading.
- Server back end and API/Service development experience is required
- Experience in Cloud Computing using AWS, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker, Maven, etc.
- Mobile web experience is a plus
- Experience in Spring Integration, Caching, or any similar technology is a plus
- Experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven, Oracle, UNIX
- Experience using Bitbucket/GIT Stash as the SCM tool
- CICD/DevOps Experience is a plus
- Good understanding or network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP etc.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, proactive and go-getter
- Good grasp of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development, agile methodology
- Design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps
- Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality
- Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions
- Performs expert-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer hardware, firmware, embedded systems, and/or operating systems
- Develop, maintain, and report intranet metrics
- Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments
- Research/analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures
- Monitor program execution for expected performance
- Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Java 8 or above
• Spring 5 knowledge
• CI/CD tools knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, Automation, GIT, JIRA, etc
• Cloud Computing such as in AWS
• Front End skills in Java Script, AngularJS, React.js, etc
