Job Title:        Spark Engineer

Location:        Miramar, FL

Duration:       6 Months Contract

Job Description:

Scope of work:

Candidate will develop Scala/Spark core code to ingest data from different data sources (flat files, kafka streams, MQ), transform using data frames (in memory processing), write custom sink processes to write data into multiple targets (Kafka, Minio, S3) running inside Mesosphere. Technical experience in Java/J2EE. Knowledge of CICD with experience in JIRA, Jenkins. Understanding of functional programming approaches, docker containers, and NoSQL databases.

Required skills/competencies:

Apache Spark
Mesosphere
Scala

Preferred Skills:

Java 8
Apache Kafka

Preferred Education:

BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering
