The ideal candidate should be proactive in providing solutions to meet business needs for the Openfire Chat platform. The individual will be responsible for any Openfire platform maintenance, enhancements and Production support.  Primary Responsibilities ·       Translate business needs to technical specifications ·       Design, build and deploy Chat solutions using Openfire. Provide ongoing support for the Openfire platform. ·       Document all Openfire requirements and solutions. ·       Provide technical assistance to users and monitor performance of the Openfire platform ·       Build and develop cross-platform real-time collaboration server based on XMPP protocol using Openfire ·       Collaborate with engineers and external teams to build and maintain test environments and automation ·       Analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing test systems ·       Ensure proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts ·       Participate in design, coding, and review of functional products to facilitate white-box test design ·       Handle application support end-to-end, ensuring there are no failures in production systems by running analytics using logs, and executing code-fixes/off-band scripts/configurations to prevent system failures ·       Present recommendations to optimize use of the Openfire platform   Experience  ·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, MIS and/or related work experience ·       3 plus years overall experience in Openfire Chat platform, including XMPP protocol experience ·       3 plus years of experience developing high performance systems using Core Java technologies ·       Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities ·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
