Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator Location: Irvin, CA Duration: Long term
Job Description: Major Responsibilities: - Minimum of 7 years of hands on experience supporting Linux servers
- Expertise in supporting Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS on VMWare
- Expertise in hardening OS and applying security best practices
- Strong understanding of monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Strong experience with Ansible for monitoring, automation, build, deploy, patching, of OS and applications.
- Strong experience with Python, Perl and bash scripting.
- Must have strong understanding of VMWare, Windows, Amazon, Network, Containers and storage.
- Must have excellent communications skills and ability to document and teach others.
- Experience integration of Active Directory with RHEL for security policy, userid definition, local admin access, and group and resource access.
- Experience with storage management especially with clustered storage software i.e. Gluster, Oracle File System Cluster software
- Experience with Oracle RAC provisioning, setup.
- Configuring and managing network interfaces
- File system configuration and management
- User management, administration
- Experience in the support of technologies such as DNS, SFTP and FTP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, SSL, SSH, TCP, UDP, IP, RAID, DHCP, Kerberos, and SMB and CIFS
- Experience supporting Oracle application, Oracle Databases and Oracle RAC relating to installation and performance tuning from OS perspective
- Participate in annual disaster recovery exercise as needed.
- Work on support tickets, review, resolve and provide root cause analysis
- Provide 24/7 on call support for production failures, including after hours and weekend support as needed.
