Job Description:                 

Contractors to Assist with First Line of Defense (FLOD) Business Controls Design and Assurance Testing

The contractors will support State Streets Global Exchange (SSGX) business in the Business Control function that is focused on mitigating risk from within the First Line of Defense (FLOD) by providing oversight of business risks, central management of control programs and risk governance.

 

The Business Controls Assurance Testing contractors, will assist with execution of FLOD assurance events provide critical support to SSGX and, in particular, Charles River Development (CRD), in their efforts to comply with business risk and regulatory compliance policies and implement required controls. The primary focus will be administrative nature assisting with control design and implementation as well as assurance testing.

·         The successful candidates will have solid writing skills, experience with risk and controls assessments, assurance testing, familiarity working with and analyzing data.

·         solid communication skills, and knowledge of the financial services industry.

Duties and responsibilities include:

·         Assist with the development of the business risk function primarily within CRD.

·         Assist with assurance events to evaluate internal controls.

·         Contribute to documents for governance committees.

·         Assist with the execution of key business risk programs.

Preferred Experience

·         BS/BA

·         2-5 years in financial services preferably in risk, compliance, audit or control experience.

·         Experience with controls based testing.

·         Solid MS Excel skills.

·         Additional Skills: Risk management and controls testing.

·         Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues.

·         Drafts detailed requirements and related documentation.

·         Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation.

·         Assists in the analysis of current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes.

·         May assist in the analysis of user interface design efforts; participates in design sessions, documents and validates recommendations.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent.

·         2 - 3 years of related financial services experience

·         Analytical skills, Communication skills, PC skills, including office applications and project scheduling and flowcharting software, Relationship Management, Facilitation skills
