Job description:

C: Detailed job responsibilities

•                     Good knowledge of job scheduling tool Zeke

•                     Good knowledge of job scheduling tool Zena

•                     Good knowledge on general concepts of job scheduling

•                     Ready to work in 24*7 shift environment

•                     Fixing of job failures and debugging skills of job failures

•                     Action ad hoc request on active job scheduling environment

•                     Know how to use Scheduling objects in ASG-ZEKE and ZENA like: Task, Process, Resources, Calendars, Triggers, Sub-Process, Events, Actions etc

•                     Troubleshooting Agents, Communication issues

•                     ASG-ZEKE/ZENA agent's installations in Windows and Unix environments

•                     Generate Reports in usual formats and delivery

•                     Year End Calendar creations/Modifications in ASG-ZENA

•                     Generate Audit Data reports and perform checks

•                     Creating new Schedule JOBS and their standards Including Pre/Post dependencies and triggers

•                     Code Promotion Process Tools used for Code promotion

•                     Event Monitoring and actions on delayed jobs notifications

•                     Clock change implications/actions Different action to be performed by batch team on the occasion of Clock change activity

•                     One-time schedule change activities/ Adhoc requests

•                     Configure the scheduling tool to automatically validate the successful completion of each job in accordance with Client's specifications

•                     Daily checklist to be followed for job Parameters / System variables values and any defined procedures

•                     Handle L1 support for Job abends, notifications from Zeke

•                     Handling outages and DR scenarios

•                     Build Procedure documentation  for Zeke and Zena operational, troubleshooting ,scheduling & promotion process

•                     Adhere to Weekly, Monthly reports schedule and support during monthly quarterly activities

•                     Weekly activities like IPL and other JCL changes

•                     Work on Non batch activities(Db scripts execution, password reset, Image snapshot, filecopy ,VM restart etc)

•                     Support for batch scheduling during certain shift

•                     Job promotion from Dev to test and Test to Production.

•                     Working knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows, Unix, OpenSystems.

•                     Basic knowledge of TCP, Networks and connectivity.

•                     ITIL awareness
