Project Manager – IT PMO (Ex PG&E Required)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with prior PG&E experience to lead medium to large-scale IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, vendor management, Agile/Waterfall delivery methodologies, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Direct project planning including scope, schedule, budgeting, execution, and closure in alignment with PG&E IT PMO standards and processes.
• Provide leadership and guidance for analysis, estimation, design, evaluation, implementation, and deployment activities for multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure roadmap alignment and successful delivery of business and technical solutions.
• Manage vendors, Statements of Work (SOW), contract discussions, invoice approvals, and delivery milestones.
• Lead project financial management including budgets, cost plans, work orders, unit estimates, and invoice tracking.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
• Conduct regular project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and sponsor status updates.
• Deliver projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• 3+ years managing medium to large complex IT projects with cross-functional teams.
• Strong experience with:
• Budgeting and financial management
• Vendor management and SOW negotiation
• Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• PMO governance and reporting
• Software or cloud deployment projects
