Job Description

 

The Data Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing enterprise data architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and analytics‑ready data platforms. The role bridges business requirements and technical implementation, guiding data modeling, integration patterns, and platform standards across cloud and on‑prem data ecosystems.

 

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

• 12+ years of Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture
• Strong experience as a Data Architect in enterprise environments
• Expertise in data modeling (ER, dimensional, domain‑driven)
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL data stores
• Experience designing data platforms on cloud (Snowflake / AWS / Azure)
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, batch and streaming architectures
• Tools: Snowflake (or equivalent cloud DW), Informatica (ETL, DQ/DG, MDM), RDBMS: Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, NoSQL: Cassandra, MongoDB, Modeling tools (ERwin, similar), JIRA / Confluence

 

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Informatica DQ/DG and MDM
• Insurance / Financial Services domain exposure
• Experience with Kafka / streaming platforms
• Knowledge of CAP theorem and distributed systems

 

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps
• Align business goals with technology and platform strategy
• Design scalable, secure enterprise solutions (cloud, data, applications)
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure compliance with EA principles
• Guide solution architects and delivery teams on architectural decisions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives
• Act as security advisor to delivery teams and stakeholders
