Job Title: Linux Systems Engineer – RedHat & Ansible

Location: Atlanta, GA ~ Smyrna, GA ~ Forest Park, GA

Rate: $52 /hr on C2C

 

JD:

Competencies: 6-8+ year's experience

Digital: Ansible

Red Hat Linux

 

Role Description:

Perform monthly OS patching using Red Hat Satellite, YumDNF, and Ansible.

Execute pre and post-patch checks, handle reboots, and fix patch failures

Troubleshoot Linux issues (services, network, disk, kernel, boot)

Manage day-to-day operations user/sudo management, packages, logs, system monitoring.

Create and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles for automation of patching and ops tasks.

Support system upgrades, migrations (RHEL789), and decommission activities

Ensure security compliance and remediate vulnerabilities (bigfixQualysNessus)

Follow incident/change management processes and maintain documentation

 

Skills Required:

Strong experience with RHEL 789, Expertise in Ansible AAP, Bash scripting, YumDNF, system, LVM

Good knowledge of Satellite, monitoring tools, logs, and Linux troubleshooting.
