Position: Site Reliability Engineer with GCP – 20248-1

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

 

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, automation expertise, and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines. A GCP certification (Associate Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Architect) is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Configure, build, and support applications and operational infrastructure within GCP.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Product Development teams to evaluate and enhance solution designs.
• Automate and orchestrate environments using tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes deployments, especially within Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Configure and administer application servers such as Tomcat and NGINX.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Nexus, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, and RunDeck.
• Use strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and troubleshoot performance or reliability issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to onshore/offshore development teams.
• Create and maintain all technical documentation and artifacts for the platform.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• GCP certification preferred (Associate Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Architect).
• 2+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions in Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of GCP infrastructure components (IAM, VPC, service accounts, cloud security, storage, compute, networking).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong system administration experience (Linux/Windows).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
