Role: Java Full Stack Developer
Client: Freddie Mac
Location: McLean, VA (In-person interview required; candidates from MD are also considered)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our team at Freddie Mac. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable, high-performance applications using modern Java and front-end technologies. Candidates with prior experience in mortgage or financial domains, especially ex-Fannie Mae or ex-Capital One professionals, are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java/Spring Boot on the backend and Angular or React on the frontend.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with various microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product Management, to deliver robust solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java (8/11), Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Strong front-end experience with Angular 8+ or ReactJS.
• Proficiency in RESTful API development, JSON, and Web Services.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred:

• Experience with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Capital One, or other financial/mortgage clients.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
