Description:

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect who combines solid technical credentials and experience with a high degree of business acumen for a position within our Platform Engineering team. This includes as-is recommendation for Lift & Shift migrations from on-prem to cloud and re-architecting for cloud native solutions. Comparison between multi-cloud environments, recommendation on well-architect framework. Modernization of applications and re-architecting the solutions for various application requirements.

As a solution architect you will work collaboratively with business units/application teams to help deploy and operate their applications on the Multi cloud platform. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Provide solutions on infrastructure deployment, CI/CD solutions, monitoring, operations, cost optimization, ensure availability, security, automation, performance, efficiency and scaling. You will use your deep understanding of system availability, architecture, people, systems and processes to continuously improve uptime, performance, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Major areas of accountability

Provide architectural solutions for multi-cloud environment.
Candidate will work closely with the Platform Engineering and Product Engineering teams.

Architect the solutions for Cloud Native and Cloud Ready for various environments like Production, SAT, QA, Development, etc..

Collaborate with various service team, internal security team, architects, cloud engineering and product engineering teams.
Communicating risk assessments.
Provide technical recommendations to senior management.
Provide well architected framework following Client standards.
Provide support for creating centers of excellence for cloud services.
Establish and develop partnerships with strategic vendors.
Define processes to best utilize people and tools to solve problems
Provide financial analysis for technology decisions.
Devise strategies and architectures to optimize consumption of cloud resources.
Promote benefits of software development utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies

Qualifications

BE in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Cloud Architecture.
3 years’ operating production SaaS offering on at least one of the following cloud platforms: AWS (MUST), Azure, GCP, OCI, OpenStack, CloudFoundry or other.
Experience with infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment
Experience in migrating the application infrastructure from on-prem to Multi cloud (AWS or Azure or GCP or OCI)

Experience with Docker, Mesos, and/or Kubernetes in production workloads
Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
Experience with programming and scripting languages: Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, JavaScript or similar languages
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to identify and understand complex issues and develop effective solutions

Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
Passion for customer success via deep desire to exceed expectations and Service Level Agreements
Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI preferred.
