Required Fullstack Developer With VueJS/Node JS-US Citizen only-REMOTE

Rate: $55/hr

Role:  Senior Full Stack Developer 

Location: Remote. (ET)

Duration: Initial Term: One Year.

Eligibility: U.S. Citizen.

 

Experience/Requirements:

• Senior Full Stack Developer with 10 years + experience in Vue JS | Node JS.

Comfortable with Docker, ECS Fargate, ECR, pushing containers to production in the cloud (AWS Preferred)

• Experience using Git for source code management
• Experience writing SQL to create and modify relational data models
• Experience working with Docker containers, ideally deployed in a cloud environment
• Strong communication skills
• Familiar with agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, and/or DevOps

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the back-end & front-end components of a user story and work independently or in partnership with other developers to design, implement, and unit test a complete solution.
• Design and implement data model changes necessary for feature development.
• Work with QA engineer and product owner to address any issues that are raised during testing and address them before release.
• Help to diagnose, triage, and fix production defects.
• Work with the development team and product owner during Backlog Grooming to understand user stories and break them down to a manageable size.
• Perform code reviews of other engineers' work.
• Identify and address technical debt.
• Participate in retrospectives and contribute to continuous improvement of the team's software engineering practices.

 

Required Skills:

• Backend: Node.js, C# .net is a plus but not required
• Frontend: Vue.js, Javascript, CSS, HTML,  JSON
• Docker, NPM, Git/Github
• AWS (ECS Fargate, ECR, Lambda,, S3), Azure is a plus but not required

For this role, some important things to highlight is experience owning app development end-to-end. Preferably developing from scratch. And the person should be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity. Experience in small nimble teams vs small part of large apps/codebases.
