Job Responsibilities:

• Seeking a proactive Data Governance Consultant to design, implement, and oversee data governance strategies that enhance data quality, security, and regulatory compliance across our organization.
• The ideal candidate will establish and maintain robust data governance practices, collaborating with stakeholders to create a culture of accountability and trust in data.
• This role requires a deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data management, and privacy regulations to ensure that data assets are organized, accessible, and safeguarded to support critical business decisions.
• Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Collibra tool
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data owners, business units, and compliance, to define and assign data stewardship roles.
• Drive data quality initiatives, including data profiling, data cleansing, validation, and continuous improvement of data accuracy and consistency.
• Establish and manage a data catalog, including metadata management, data lineage, and classification to improve data discoverability and usability.
• Monitor compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ensure that data handling practices meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance on data governance best practices and deliver training sessions to foster a culture of data stewardship.
• Conduct data governance assessments and maturity evaluations, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
