Position: Middleware IBM MQ

Location : McLean, VA

Rate : $50/hr on C2C

Work Mode : Onsite (24x7 Rotational)

 

Skill Set – Middleware, IBM MQ, OCP

 

Responsibilities

•Deep knowledge with hands on experience in building applications on AWS/Azure public cloud with cloud native design, microservice architecture and containerization.

•Deploy applications in AWS/Azure Cloud environment

•Expert in implementing CI & CD pipeline with various DevOps tool sets 

•Experience driving continuous delivery practices with extensive usage of terraform and Kubernetes as hands on architect in larger organizations

•Proven experience in Writing Terraform Provider

Essential Skills

•Build tools like: Ant/Gradle, Maven, MS Build, Node etc.

•Clear communication, ability to work with multiple stakeholders

Job Summary:

The Level 3 MS SQL Database Administrator with Oracle Database Knowledge is a senior-level position responsible for the design, implementation, and management of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. This role involves overseeing the database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The Level 3 DBA provides technical expertise, leads database projects, and collaborates with other IT teams to deliver robust and scalable database services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

MS SQL Database Management:

·         Plan, install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server instances and databases.

·         Monitor database performance, resource usage, and implement optimizations for better efficiency.

Database High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

·         Implement and support database high availability solutions, such as SQL Server AlwaysOn, Oracle Data Guard, or similar technologies.

·         Develop and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and business continuity.

Database Security:

·         Enforce security measures, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive data.

·         Perform periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Database Performance Tuning:

·         Identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and resource contention issues in SQL Server and Oracle databases.

·         Optimize database configurations and SQL queries for optimal performance.

Database Backup and Recovery:

·         Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for SQL Server and Oracle databases.

·         Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data recoverability.

Database Monitoring and Alerts:

·         Set up proactive monitoring and alerting for database health and performance issues.

·         Respond to alerts and incidents promptly to minimize service disruptions.

Database Patching and Upgrades:

·         Plan and execute SQL Server and Oracle database patching and version upgrades following best practices.

Database Automation and Scripting:

·         Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline routine database management tasks.

Database Documentation:

·         Create and maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

·         Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues.

·         Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 2 support and other teams to address escalated incidents.

Database Project Management:

·         Lead database-related projects, such as database migrations, consolidations, and performance enhancements.

 

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

·         Several years of proven experience as a Level 3 MS SQL Database Administrator with advanced knowledge of Oracle databases.

·         In-depth understanding of Microsoft SQL Server architecture, configuration, and performance tuning.

·         Strong proficiency in Oracle database architecture, installation, configuration, and administration.

·         Expertise in database high availability solutions for both SQL Server and Oracle databases.

·         Familiarity with database security, backup, and recovery best practices.

·         Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting and automation for routine tasks.

·         Experience with database clustering and load balancing technologies is advantageous.

·         Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

·         Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

·         Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server certifications (e.g., Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are preferred

 

Position : Linux/UNIX Administrator

Location: Plano, TX
Work Mode : Onsite (24x7 Rotational)

Rate: $50/hr on C2C

 

Job Description :

The Unix L3 Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix systems. This includes managing user accounts, file systems, and network services. The L3 Administrator also troubleshoots and resolves complex system issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Unix systems
  • Manage user accounts, file systems, and network services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Provide technical support to users
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Unix technologies and best practices

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Unix system administrator
  • Strong knowledge of Unix operating systems, including Linux and Solaris
  • Experience with Unix system administration tools and utilities, such as vi, sed, awk, and grep
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl or Python
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
