Job Title: Lead Big Data Administrator
Job Type: 12+ Month Contract
Location: Reston, VA
The primary duties include:
- Spearheading automation, configuration, and optimization of Solr and HBase components on Cloudera CDP public cloud.
- Integrating seamlessly with AWS services.
- Guaranteeing the high availability, dependability, and optimal performance of the data infrastructure.
- Overseeing and developing relational databases, Big Data systems, and Apache Solr.
- Utilizing automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Bitbucket.
- Managing metadata hubs and resolving any issues that arise.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years in big data and metadata hub administration.
- Mastery of Cloudera Solr and HBase.
- Familiarity with tools and systems like Ab Initio, EMR, S3, DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RDS, DB2 is advantageous.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in UNIX and SQL.
- Proven leadership in architectural and design discussions, combined with practical project management experience.
